I could go broke if I keep giving - Don Jazzy laments

Famous Nigerian singer and record producer Michael Collins Ajereh, known professionally as Don Jazzy, lamented his giving attitude and expressed his fear of going broke if he keeps giving away money.

The singer complained that he keeps receiving calls from strangers asking for financial assistance and said that he now sets his phone to "do not disturb" mode to avoid some of these strange calls.

The musician, who expressed shock on social media that unknown people were selling his cell phone numbers, explained that certain people were responsible for the constant calls from strangers, as they intentionally sold his numbers to these people so they could call him for no reason.

"They sell the number so that people will send me messages for no reason. My phone is set to 'Do Not Disturb' (DND) all the time. I know some people will think I'm conceited, but that's not the point.

"When I'm in a good mood and I take some of these calls, they tell me they bought the number, but they can't tell me who sold it to them.

"You have to set certain boundaries. Even though I don't want to, my brother (general) is trying as much as he can to reduce the number of people coming to me, because you can tell any stupid lie and I'll give you the money, but if I keep doing this, I can go broke."
